Who We Are
How can we truly understand what others are experiencing if we do not listen?
This organization aims to shed a light on members of our community who experience homelessness and those supporting the homeless community. Everyone experiences an innate longing to be heard through their stories and to feel worthy. Our Goal We hope that this page provides a space to understand and appreciate those who may not look, think, or act differently. We must embrace our differences and seek to understand others through stories, perspectives, and empathy. Call to Action We long to offer insight into the lives of others and spark a change so that advocacy and empowerment will be at the cornerstone of our community. The stigmatization of homelessness remains a heavy burden until we start the conversation. |
The People Behind People Seeing People
My name is Charlotte Roberts and I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. My research revolves around empathy, more specifically historical empathy. We hope this project enables others to see people as people with stories and experiences that may cause us to take pause, find hope, and practice perspective taking in a world where there are so many unspoken narratives.

My name is Gracie Quinn, I am in my first year teaching in Holmen, Wi. For me, this project is heart work. My dream is to inspire others to understand different perspectives and avoid passing judgement on situations they do not fully understand. I hope that one day we can find love instead of hate in the people around us.
